If you know me, you know that my greatest desire is to be someone who wins women for the Kingdom of Christ. It is my goal to inspire and motivate women to pursue their passions, purpose, & Jesus with a fierceness. That is my aim in my writing, in my social media endeavors, and in the way I live my life. Because of this burning passion, I found it quite fitting to write a prayer for women as we go into this new year.
Some of these things I pray for myself daily and am praying fiercely for myself going into the new year. I figured if these were things I need and desire for this new year, other women need and desire them as well. I hope that all who read it will find it comforting, needed, and inspiring enough to prompt change going into 2018..
I come to you today thanking you for your love. I thank you for every single woman You’ve placed on this Earth. I thank You for giving us Your grace, Your kindness, and Your heart. It is my prayer that You will take these words I write and manifest them in the lives of YOUR women God – Your kingdom women.
Lord, I pray for every single woman (or man) reading this prayer right now. I pray that you would give them a desire to be closer to you in 2018. Fill our hearts with your love and steer us in your direction Jesus. I pray that you would take anything out of our hearts and lives that don’t look like You Lord. Allow us to see that You are what’s best for us and that choosing You is the best decision we could ever make going into a new year.
I pray that every woman would go to deeper heights in her prayer life, worship life, deeper in love, deeper in joy, deeper in peace, and deeper in her relationship with You Lord. I pray that shallow ideas of what life should be will be erased in 2018. I pray that shallow ideas of what love is will be erased in 2018. I pray that shallow ideas of what a relationship with You looks like will be erased in 2018. I pray that anything shallow be replaced with something much stronger – with You Lord. I pray that you would fill our lives with your mercy, your grace, and your reckless love like never before, so that we would crave even more of You. I pray that we would desire to go deeper in every aspect of our connection to You, Jesus.
I pray that the callings and purposes of these women be revealed to them in 2018 like never before. I pray that You will show us what it is that you have placed us on this Earth to do. I pray that passions will be reignited and that we will be more motivated than ever to win souls to your Kingdom Lord. I pray that we will use the gifts, talents, and ideas you’ve created us with for Your glory and Yours only Lord.
I pray that toxic relationships and connections will be severed in 2018. I pray that anything that doesn’t draw us closer to You will be shattered and removed from our lives in this new year. I pray that we will find enough value in who You’ve created us to be that we won’t return to people and things that broke us in 2017. I pray that we will find strength to let go and allow You to recreate us for Your glory.
I pray that this year, we will find joy in purity. I pray that we will come to understand that living a life of purity is more than just not having sex. Help us to understand that it’s our attitude, our words, what we allow ourselves to be influenced by, and who we allow to have a part of our lives, our hearts, and our spirits. Let us recognize your desire for us to be pure is protection and not punishment.
I pray that we will find beauty in our ashes, Your glory in our mess, and your power and purpose in our pain. I pray that we will find our identities in You in 2018. I pray that we will believe we are beautiful because You made us. I pray that we will find comfort in knowing that You crafted us on purpose for a purpose. Help us to understand that identity is super important. Give us the knowledge that everything we do flows from our identities. If we don’t know who we are – our true self, everything we do and produce is false. God, help us to see that You simply cannot bless the women we pretend to be.
Lastly, I pray that no woman reading this prayer would go into 2018 without responding to the call of salvation. It’s very very simple. Nothing is complicated about accepting Christ into our lives. To be saved is to turn away from a life without God. Being saved means committing to a life of striving to be more like the Father and being able to live in His abundant grace, mercy, and love. There are so many opportunities and blessings attached to salvation and it is my desire, as well the Lord’s desire, that all of us be saved!
ALL YA GOTTA DO is admit to God that you are a sinner. All of us are in need of His salvation, so you are NOT alone. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23). Turn away from your sin and yourself and turn towards God. Repent of your sins, and ask for His forgiveness. Believe in Jesus Christ as God’s Son and receive Jesus’ gift of forgiveness from sin. Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus was raised from the dead, and believe Him to be and accept Him as your Lord and Savior. Once you do these things, you will become a child of God. Believe, receive, become. You will no longer be a slave to sin. You will be new! There is no greater gift than salvation! (Romans 10:9)
If you desire to know about salvation, more about the Lord, or more about any of these topics within this prayer, I pray that you would reach out to me, your mentors, your pastors, and most importantly reach out to Jesus.
I pray that this prayer, these words, and my genuineness will give you the boost you need to go into 2018 like never before.
As always love God, love people, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
